Enjoy a unique language stay: learn English or French in France while living with a British family and taking private lessons with your teacher.

Private language stay with a native English teacher in France

Learn English in France through private one-to-one lessons with a native English teacher! You’ll be fully immersed in daily life with a British or anglophone host family living in France.

This programme is also suitable for those who wish to learn French. French lessons with a qualified teacher can be arranged based on your level and learning goals.

One-to-one English lessons with your teacher in France

First, the English lessons are taught by a qualified native English teacher, experienced in teaching English as a foreign language.
The programme is then tailored to the student’s level, learning pace, and personal goals.
Participants are encouraged to share any difficulties they face or specific expectations they may have – whether academic, professional, or personal.
Finally, you can choose the number of weekly lesson hours to match your needs: 10, 15, 20, 25, or 30 hours per week.

For those wishing to learn French, a similar programme is available: stay with a French-speaking teacher, take private French lessons, and enjoy daily activities to practise the language in real-life situations.

Activity programme during the English language stay in France

To begin with, the student shares the daily life of their English teacher and is encouraged to speak English outside of lesson time.
This ongoing immersion reinforces newly acquired vocabulary and concepts, leading to real and lasting progress in the language.
In addition, depending on the participant’s interests and what is available locally, it is also possible to organise personal outings (subject to age and with the teacher’s approval).

Optional add-ons for your English language stay in France

English + sports: 3 sport sessions per week at a local sports centre (see practical information for details).
English + cultural visits: 3 hours of visits with the teacher or a member of the host family (museums, castles, and other well-known sites).
All fees (entrance tickets, transport, etc.) are included in this option.
English + general activities: The host family offers local activities based on their location and the participant’s interests. These may include: cinema, bowling, mini-golf, swimming, visiting a farm, cooking, local visits, shopping, arts and crafts, local markets, nature walks (beach, countryside, city, park…), board games, and more. Outside these activities, the participant continues to take part in the everyday life of the family.

Exam preparation: Want to boost your chances of success in your studies or professional life after this language stay? We offer tailored lessons to help you prepare for exams such as the Cambridge First Certificate, Proficiency, TOEIC, or TOEFL. The teacher can create a personalised programme to match your objectives.

Dates

The dates are flexible and can be chosen freely by the participant.
Stays run from Sunday to Saturday.
The minimum duration is one week.

Prices for private lessons and optional activities

Choose the intensity of your programme:
10, 15, 20, 25 or 30 hours of English lessons per week.

For minors, lesson packages always include 5 hours of general activities.
For adults, activities are optional starting from the 15-hour package.

Options

The price for each sport option includes 3 sessions (unless otherwise specified), transportation, equipment, and entry fees.

General activities (5 hours/week): 315 €
Cultural visits (3 per week): 365 €
Sport Tennis: 385 €
Sport Surfing: 345 €
Sport Golf or Horse-riding: 445 €
Sport Sailing: 510 €
Exam preparation: 195 € per week.
Cocooning (mandatory for children under 12 – constant supervision by an adult family member): 160 €

Discounts

Solo package: 10% discount on each additional week starting from the second week.
Tandem package (2 students): €150 discount per student per week.
Trio package (3 students): €250 discount per student per week.

Please note: round-trip transfers from the nearest airport or train station to the host family’s home are included in the price.

Accommodation and catering

Full-board accommodation with the teacher’s family.
There will be one francophone student hosted at a time (unless the TANDEM option is requested).

Location of your stay

You can be hosted anywhere in France.
This is a great opportunity to discover a beautiful country and meet welcoming, warm-hearted people.
Accommodation is always provided on a full-board basis.

Travel to France

This is an individual, unaccompanied trip without transport provided.
You must book your travel only after your host family placement has been confirmed by our team.

For European Union citizens:

Valid personal passport or identity card.
European Health Insurance Card.
The Autorisation de Sortie du Territoire (AST), is a compulsory national CERFA document, which must be filled in by the father, mother or legal guardian of the child. The legal guardian who signed the document MUST provide a copy of his/her valid identity card (or passport). If the child does not have the same name as the signing parent, a copy of the family record book MUST accompany the AST. No documents other than the CERFA form indicated above can be accepted.
