Spend an academic year in a boarding school in the South of France offers numerous advantages, especially for international students seeking a unique and enriching experience. The school offers a wide range of extracurricular activities, allowing students to pursue their interests and develop new skills.

The CEI presents a unique chance for international students to experience an enriching academic stay at a boarding school in France. This program provides complete immersion in the French educational system, merging high academic standards with a genuine cultural experience.

7-day-boarding option

Students are placed in a permanent boarding school in the South of France, Occitanie region. This school offers a wide range of facilities and activities during the weekends and school holidays : skiing, horseback riding, fishing, basketball, football, rugby, crossfit, table tennis, golf, climbing, cooking lessons… Musical activities are also available : piano, guitar, drums.

With 600 students, school life is dedicated to studies and activities in a green environment with the Pyrenées Mountains in the background.

Depending on their age, students are placed in either Troisième (14-15 years old) or Seconde (15-16 years old). They typically take courses in French literature, foreign languages, history, math, economics and science. Students placed in Classe de Premiere (16-17 years old) and students placed in Classe de Terminale (17-18 years old) will be enrolled in one of these academic areas : Literature, Economics, or Sciences. All classes are taught in French.

CEI Additional Services

Language training option

CEI proposes 2 or 3 week-long intensive French language courses, before the beginning of the High School program. This program takes place at the CEI language school in Saint-Malo every August and in Paris every January.

This language course is specifically recommended for students who might not feel confident enough or wish to improve their language skills before participating in the Academic Year Program.

Meet & greet service

Transfer on arrival: included in the program price.
Transfer on departure: 250€ (optional – can be arranged upon request).

Comprehensive medical insurance

CEI provides optional medical insurance covering third-party liability, medical expenses and repatriation. This insurance is officially recognised for visa applications.

Participants

Students must be between 14-18 years old (while their stay in France).
Interview process to determine the language skills and motivation.

Accommodation

Full accommodation in a boarding school. Full pension.

Regular meetings and contact with CEI local representative
