The CEI Group’s commitments

to more responsible tourism

With over 75 years’ experience and a mission to open young people up to the world, the CEI Group continues to commit itself every day through its activities to promoting the open-mindedness, respect and mutual understanding that are part of its DNA. We also work every day to meet the social and environmental challenges that concern us all. Here are some of the actions we have taken since our founding in 1947, and our commitments for today and tomorrow:

Meaningful activities: discovering the environment to encourage youngsters to protect nature, meeting local people to learn about their customs, and all this in all our types of stays.

A range of international solidarity, ecotourism and volunteer programs, for authentic, responsible holidays.

Less paper thanks to the dematerialization of travel books, registration forms and satisfaction questionnaires.

Careful purchasing to work with responsible transporters and accommodation providers.

Less plastic: from 2020 onwards, we will be encouraging young people to take their water bottles with them, or replacing water bottles with reusable ones in our summer camps, language stays and school trips, whenever possible.

Carrying a message: by inviting our participants to make a commitment via our Responsible Young Traveller Charter, available on our website.
